Author Angelo Loukakis will present his new book Houdini's Flight at the Book Club on the first Friday in March. Come and meet Angelo Loukakis and join in the discussion. The Book will be on sale in our bookshop from Tuesday 21st Feb. Books will be on sale on the night and you can have your copy signed by Angelo on the night. For those who don't know Angelo Loukakis was born in Australia and has worked as a teacher, editor, publisher and scriptwriter. He is the author of a children′s book on Greeks in Australia, and a travel book on Norfolk Island, as well as five books of fiction including For the Patriarch, Vernacular Dreams and Messenger. For the Patriarch received a prize in the 1981 NSW Premier′s Awards and was set on the NSW HSC syllabus between 1986 and 2001. Angelo′s parents came to Australia from Crete, and his novel, The Memory of Tides, honours their generation. Houdini’s Flight is Angelo’s latest novel and will be available on the night.
